The Swedish Coast Guard has several coastal stations along the coast of Sweden. In addition, the agency also has a coastal aviation station located in Skavsta. Five coast guard stations have environmental protection equipment. Each station has a manager to oversee operations.
All of the coast guard stations are prepared to execute rescue missions for life and the environment, such as search and rescue, or in the event of oil and chemical discharge or spills.
The Coast Guard's area of activity extends to Swedish territorial waters and economic zone.
Operations at the stations vary depending on where they are located and what season it is.
