Organisation

The Coast Guard is a civilian government agency headed by a director general. The authority also has a director general who is the deputy director general and shall otherwise be at the director general's disposal for special matters.

The Coast Guard is organized into an Executive management and a Director General´s office with the following five departments:

• Department of Total Defense, Security and Digital Resilience  
• Engineering, Logistics and Facilities Department
• Department of Development and Innovation
• Operations Department
• Human Resource and Finance Department
