The visit began at the quay beside Amfitrite. There, the Director-General of the Swedish Coast Guard, Lena Lindgren Schelin, and the Deputy Director-General, Henrik Jonsson, reviewed recent operations against suspected false-flagged and unseaworthy vessels in the Baltic Sea.

Those listening on the quay included Secretary General Mark Rutte, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard, Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Minister for Defence Pål Jonson, National Security Adviser Niclas Kvarnström and NATO Ambassador Jan Knutsson.

– The interest in visiting our operations is proof of the important role that the Coast Guard and the Swedish Police Authority, with support from the Swedish Armed Forces, play in maintaining law and order at sea, says Director-General Lena Lindgren Schelin.

During the visit, the guests saw a demonstration of how a boarding can be carried out, performed by the National Task Force and the National Boarding Team with support from the Swedish Armed Forces. The visit ended with an informal dinner in the vessel's mess.

– During the visit, we had the opportunity to show our joint operational strength and capability. We did this both by demonstrating a boarding exercise and by safely and securely holding a high-level meeting in central Helsingborg, says Deputy Director-General Henrik Jonsson.

The Coast Guard is assisting the Swedish Police Authority in guarding the summit in Helsingborg. Personnel, aircraft and vessels are part of the operation.
