In late April and early May, the Swedish Coast Guard is carrying out practical high-speed training in the Stockholm archipelago. This is part of the basic training for the agency's trainee officers. It focuses on developing the ability to manoeuvre and navigate the Coast Guard's high-speed boats in varying conditions.
Several units within the Swedish Coast Guard have taken part in the Swedish Armed Forces' exercise Aurora 26. The participation was part of the support that the Coast Guard can be expected to give the Swedish Armed Forces in a state of heightened alert or war.
Last week, the Swedish Coast Guard held a joint environmental rescue exercise with Raja, the Finnish Border Guard, off the Högakustenbron bridge. KBV 181 took part together with the Finnish patrol vessel RV91 and the environmental rescue vessel Linja from the state-owned company Arctia.
